MOSES Conference 2019

Last weekend, 3 of the 5 sisters attended the MOSES Conference in LaCrosse WI. MOSES – the Midwest Organic & Sustainable Education Service – is an amazing organization, and the conference (the 30th annual!) is considered the Woodstock of organics!

The educational sessions were taught by Universities, researchers, farmers, and vendors. The topics ranged from livestock to grains to vegetables to concepts like sustainability and permaculture. There were a variety of vendors with everything from equipment to heirloom seeds to landscape design! It was so much exciting information!

Our farm is 110 acres, and right now we are using less than an acre for our gourmet, organic garlic. We have so much opportunity with the other 100 acres! Based on what we learned at MOSES and our association with other organic groups, we will decide on our next venture for the farm!
